How to factory reset Samsung Phones

Content [Show]
How to Factory Reset Samsung Phones: We are usually familiar with the term "factory reset," which is the process of restoring the smartphone's state to its original factory state.

This offers many advantages, e.g. B.Solutions to Samsung phone boot loops, forgetting patterns or errors, forcing programs to close frequently, often heating up late, and much more

I also often use this method to troubleshoot Samsung phones when I forget my password or various software-related issues.

However, a Samsung factory reset also carries risks. That's why I stress that it's imperative to understand the importance of a hard reset and the associated risks before reading and practicing. Samsung is a smartphone supplier that is already quite well known. Even before it became an Android smartphone, the quality was no longer in question.

Until they are introduced to the upper middle class, Samsung products have cheap variants and are widely used.

The Android operating system has a recovery mode feature that users can easily use as a tool to restore software problems to their default settings. also on Samsung phones.

But unfortunately, at this point, there are still a lot of people who don't know this, so it's not uncommon for Samsung phones to reboot, heat up quickly, make mistakes, and immediately make the decision to turn the flash back on. Our first discussion is to introduce a Samsung factory reset and how it works before we move on to restoring a Samsung phone to its original settings.

 Factory reset a Samsung phone

How to factory reset Samsung phone

Of course, for those of you who don't know how to factory reset Samsung, you should know this before running it.

A little understanding of factory reset is to bring your phone back to its default settings. The term resets the phone.

Obviously, anything that isn't part of the phone manufacturer's standards will be removed or eliminated. This is not a manual method, but the system has an algorithm that can classify, erase, and restore the smartphone to factory settings. So I say, based on experience, that a restored Samsung phone will be 100% back to its original condition, starting with apps, settings, and so on.

This means that we can generally fix the problem very easily by restarting the Samsung phone. Here are some issues that a Samsung factory reset can fix.

A Samsung phone problem that a Hard Reset can fix

1. The phone will pause until the logo appears.

One of the serious issues that can be fixed is that the phone has a Samsung logo, which is commonly known as a bootloop. Fixing the Samsung phone boot loop without re-flashing can be done by doing a Samsung factory reset through recovery mode.

2. The phone frequently freezes and becomes extremely hot.

Tired of the slow phone, a cache builds up, which fills the internal memory and quickly makes the phone hot and heavy.

If other failed attempts are made, a hard reset is performed. Phone performance will be restored as with a newly purchased phone. However, if the problem is caused by damage to components or hardware, even a factory reset up to 20X will not yield any results.

3. The Samsung phone has a virus

It's not just on the logo, but for those of you whose phones seem to be infected with a virus, you can take this step. Earlier, I talked about the features of an Android phone infected with viruses, for example, using swollen internet shares when not in use, the phone heating up quickly, bugs and many more.

There is a principle that the phone is infected with external files that are destructive or annoying, such as parasites. The system will be checked to do something based on the virus content. This means that if you do a hard reset, the file will be deleted permanently because it does not meet the system manufacturer's standards.

Hence, it is very effective to overcome a virus-infected mobile phone by doing a factory reset.

4. Forgotten your phone's pattern, PIN, or password?

Confused when I first forgot the pattern on my Samsung phone, I flashed again first. For those of you who experience it, don't get confused because Samsung phone handling, pattern forgetting, and password forgetting can all be done by hard reset.

5. The phone frequently malfunctions; force close the program!

Since this is a solution for all the diseases that occur in mobile phones related to software after flash, it is sure that the error problem can be fixed well.

As Samsung phones get older, components can weaken, but systems can also wreak havoc, especially for those who like to work. Or an error caused by something else, RAM can't work optimally, so it can't multitask. These are some small examples of the benefits of a factory reset. Maybe it will take a very long time if we talk about it. The bottom line reads "Samsung phone will be reset to factory/Default settings".

The risk of factory resetting a Samsung phone

As for the pros, there are times when we have to weigh the cons as well. We don't have to be afraid, but after we know the risks, we should be able to eliminate them or find solutions. What are the risks or implications if we do a factory reset?

There is a risk that all data on your smartphone will be lost or permanently erased, be it files, photos, songs, contacts, or anything other than the system default.

Before doing this, make sure to back it up or save it to external storage, as only the internal storage will be reverted to default.

Therefore, it ensures that everything in the extra storage space is safe. Not only can data loss occur, there can also be a risk of getting stuck on logo. Usually, this happens because the phone is open in the System Files section.

How to factory reset a Samsung phone (Default Settings)

Of course, for the most part, factory resetting a Samsung phone, which I am going to discuss here, can be applied to almost all types, e.g. B. Samsung A6, J6, J5, J1, Samsung Duos and others.

There are two ways to do a hard reset on Samsung phone, but the goal is the same, just the method is different.

Which method we will use is to adapt to the state of the smartphone, see what methods and steps can be applied to your mobile phone.

1. Factory reset Samsung through the menu.

This method is usually done on Android phones that still have access to the menu, which means generally still normal, still able to make calls, open menus and others, and follow the steps:
  • First, open your phone's menu.
  • Then select Settings.
  •  Scroll down to Mobile, select Backup and Restore.
  • On the Backup and reset page, select Restore factory settings.
  • Select "Back up my data" or "Erase everything" to completely erase the data.
  • Finally choose Restore factory settings   After that, reboot and follow the next steps to set up or set up a new phone.

2. Factory reset Samsung phone / recovery mode

Factory reset Samsung phone.

The second is that you can use recovery mode. All kinds of Samsung have this feature.

To access it, we need to use special access with a Samsung secret key or combination key. There is a little difference between the different Samsung types to get into this recovery mode, but generally the "Power + Home + Volume" button is used.

If you are unable to use the above buttons, check how to enter Samsung recovery mode depending on the type of phone you are using.

Steps to factory reset via recovery mode

  • First, turn your phone off and on again by pressing and holding the "Volume Up + Home + Power" combo key at the same time until the Samsung logo appears.
  • Once the logo appears, release all the keys and you will be taken to the reset page.
  • In the recovery menu, use the volume up and down keys to navigate and the power key to select. Use the volume keys and go to wipe data/factory reset and press the power button.
  • Then confirm "Yes, delete all user data" as you normally would with the power button.
  • Wait for it to finish. At the end, go to "reboot system now" and "select".
  • After that, your phone will reboot, and it will take a little longer for the phone to prompt you to do basic settings, such as a newly purchased phone.
  • Follow the instructions until it's done and it's back to normal as a new phone. The Samsung factory reset failed

If you've done all the steps above and you're getting an error message, you can flash it. Flash is a step to fix a damaged Android phone (software).

Maybe it will be hard for those of you who have never flashed before, it really isn't!
However, what you should consider before you decide to flash again is to make sure that the damage to the device is not due to hardware/component damage.

Component/hardware damage cannot be repaired with the flash process, meaning flashing is a wasted action.
